NC Labor Participation At Lowest Level Ever Recorded

When the most recent unemployment report was released, Governor McCrory started popping the champagne after the unemployment rate fell. However, a full analysis shows that the real reason for the drop in the unemployment rate is that folks continue to simply give up looking for work. In fact, the labor participation rate in North Carolina is at its lowest level since 1976, when monthly tracking began. Just another reminder that the "Carolina Comeback" is pure fantasy for most North Carolinians.
