Voters of NC – Myah

After George Floyd was killed I was at a demonstration in Bronco square. I ended up going viral – I went live on Facebook and there were 7,500 people watching. After that, people just started coming to me, saying “you’re the voice for the community”. Now I’m a commissioner on the human relations committee, I’m part of Building a Future Foundation. I have a podcast called Making A Change WIth Myah. 

Voting is important because it shows that you’re exercising your power. Me personally, I cast my vote today for Breonna Taylor. I’m voting for my future, I’m voting for my sibling’s future.
