Voters of NC – Danny

“I'm a Vietnam veteran. I was in Vietnam in 1966 and 67. I came home, went to work for the postal service, and here I am today retired.”

When asked about his first time voting he said, “Yeah, it was in 1965 when the voting rights act was implemented by president Johnson. It's sad that we, as a people, we had to be subjected to all of that and now we're still being subjected to it. So I tell these young people to vote, because that is your privilege.”

I’m a Vietnam veteran. I was in Vietnam in 1966 and 67. I came home, went to work for the postal service, and here I am today retired.

[My first time voting] was in 1965 when the voting rights act was implemented by president Johnson.  It’s sad that we, as a people, we had to be subjected to all of that and now we’re still being subjected to it. So I tell these young people to vote, because that is your privilege.
